Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome is launching digitally and physically on January 14. The upcoming comic book will mark the first official piece of canon content that Cyberpunk 2077 has received in nearly a year.
CD Projekt Red's dystopian first-person RPG spawned numerous pieces of alternative media since its 2020 release. Netflix's Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime was the most impactful and popular of the lot by most publicly available metrics, but the game's alt media footprint also includes one official manga, a full-fledged novel, two tabletop products, one artbook, and comic books spanning close to a dozen distinct storylines. The most recent of the lot was Cyberpunk 2077: Psycho Squad #4, released on May 21, 2025.

Chrome Marks Cyberpunk 2077's First Slasher Horror Story
Dark Horse Comics' Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome is now set to follow suit next Wednesday, January 14, when its first issue is scheduled for release. Written by American author Doug Wagner, the upcoming comic book will mark the first-ever slasher horror story set in CD Projekt Red's rendition of Night City created for Cyberpunk 2077 in collaboration with Mike Pondsmith. As was the case with all of the comic books expanding on the hit RPG, Chrome is advertised as being created in "close collaboration" with CDPR, promising an authentic addition to Cyberpunk 2077's ever-growing pool of canon media.
