Spoilers ahead for Cyberpunk 2077 and its expansion Phantom Liberty!
How Many Endings Are There in Cyberpunk 2077?
There are a total of seven endings in Cyberpunk 2077, including the Phantom Liberty expansion. Each of the Cyberpunk 2077 endings has its own related achievement and separate path that can be followed, and all of these endings are obtained during the point of no return with Nocturne Op55N1, so it’s best to complete all side jobs and Phantom Liberty missions to ensure players have the most options available to them for their ending path.
Once players have completed an ending, the game will roll them back to a state just before meeting Hanako at Embers for Nocturne Op55N1, allowing players to complete all endings without relying on save files, while also obtaining unique rewards per ending.
How to Get the Sun Ending in Cyberpunk 2077
- Achievement: The Sun – Become a legend of the Afterlife.
The Sun ending requires players to have completed Rogue’s side job, Blistering Love. However, Blistering Love can only be activated if players tell Johnny Silverhand during their conversation in Chippin’ In at the Oil Fields: Yeah, I’ll call Rogue. After a date with Rogue in Blistering Love, players now have a new option path in Nocturne Op55N1 on the rooftop with Johnny:
- Think you and Rogue should go.
- [Take pseudoendotrizine] I am. Do your thing, Johnny.
Alternatively, this same path can be acquired through the (Don’t Fear) the Reaper ending path. All players need to do now is follow through with the mission with Rogue until they enter Mikoshi. From here, players want to select: Enter the well to return to your body.
How to Get the Star Ending in Cyberpunk 2077
- Achievement: The Star – Leave Night City with the Aldecaldos.
In order to unlock The Star ending, players must have completed all of Panam’s side jobs. This can be started when siding with Panam during the main job in Act Two, Life During Wartime. Players can continue to aid Panam through the following side jobs:
- Riders of the Storm
- With a Little Help from My Friends
- Queen of the Highway
After completing these side jobs, players will now have the option to call Panam for help during Nocturne Op55N1 by selecting the following options with Johnny:
- Gonna ask Panam for help.
- [Take omega-blockers] Yep. Gonna do this with the nomads.
- [Stand and call Panam]
Now, continue through with the mission but once V enters Mikoshi, they will want to select the option: Enter the well to return to your body.
How to Get the Temperance Ending in Cyberpunk 2077
- Achievement: Temperance – Let Johnny Silverhand keep your body.
In order to obtain the Temperance ending, players must decide to get help from Panam, Rogue, or themselves with the (Don’t Fear) the Reaper ending to infiltrate Arasaka. Once inside the main mission, players need to reach Mikoshi, where they are faced with a pivotal choice. In order to unlock the Temperance ending, players must select the option to Cross the bridge and enter Cyberspace forever. This ending will see V become one with Alt Cunningham, while Johnny Silverhand gets a second chance at life in V’s body.
How to Get the Devil Ending in Cyberpunk 2077
- Achievement: The Devil – Help Takemura avenge the death of Saburo Arasaka.
If players want The Devil achievement, they must have rescued Goro Takemura in the Search and Destroy main job.
After meeting Hanako at Embers in Nocturne Op55N1, players will want to say to Johnny:
- Think trusting Arasaka’s risky but worth it.
- [Take omega-blockers] Yeah. Don’t be mad.
This will lock V into what is seen by most in the community as Cyberpunk 2077’s bad ending, and players can continue through until they are faced with a final decision in Where is My Mind? Where V must choose to [Sign Contract] or [Refuse to Sign], each of them has a different variation of the Devil ending.
How to Get the Tower Ending in Cyberpunk 2077
Phantom Liberty’s Exclusive Ending
- Achievement: The Tower – Survive Night City, and start a new life.
Players who own and progress through Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty can earn themselves a new ending for the main game based on decisions made in the DLC campaign. Regardless of the player’s choice in the Firestarter mission, players must give Songbird (alive) to Solomon Reed in order to unlock the Tower ending:
- In Somewhat Damaged, players must select either of the [Spare So Mi] options when confronting Songbird.
- In The Killing Moon, players must select [Holster weapon] when confronted by Solomon Reed.
After sparing Songbird and handing her over to Reed and the NUSA, the credits will roll on the Phantom Liberty expansion, and upon returning to the game they will have the Who Wants to Live Forever quest. Completing this quest will lock players into The Tower ending. Alternatively, players can continue through Nocturne Op55N1 and choose to call Reed to activate the Phantom Liberty ending.
How to Get the Suicide Ending in Cyberpunk 2077
After heading to the rooftop of Misty’s Esoterica during Nocturne Op55N1, V is presented with a few options on what to do next. Selecting the following options:
- Could also just put all this to rest.
- [Toss pills] I know. Exactly what we’re gonna do.
Selecting these options will see V toss the omega blockers and stare longingly at a pistol, and V decides to take their own life. This ending doesn’t grant any achievements nor provide any rewards for its ending, but it does have secret and heartbreaking reactions from V’s friends in the credits.
How to Get the Secret Ending in Cyberpunk 2077
The secret ending in Cyberpunk 2077, (Don’t Fear) the Reaper is a variant of the Sun/Temperance ending, but the mission itself is different, as is the way to obtain it. In order to obtain the secret ending in Cyberpunk 2077, players must first select the correct dialogue options in the Act Three side job, Chippin’ In when speaking with Johnny Silverhand at the Oil Fields:
- Nah, ###### that up too.
- What do you want from me?
- Ok. But as second chances go, this is your last.
Cyberpunk 2077: How to Get the Secret Ending
Obtaining the secret ending in Cyberpunk 2077 solidifies the bond between Johnny and V with a heart-to-heart and with no fear of the reaper in sight.
Entering into Nocturne Op55N1 and speaking with Johnny about who to continue the mission with, players should ignore any dialogue options and remain on this screen for five minutes straight. This triggers a new dialogue path from Johnny, to which V will need to reply:
- Let’s hear this plan.
- [Attack Arasaka Tower] Means goin’ out with a bang – I like it.
The mission is a difficult suicide run to Mikoshi, so it’s best to come into the secret ending prepared for everything Arasaka has, including Adam Smasher.
