Street Cred is one of the main progression blockers in Cyberpunk 2077 outside of leveling up. Gaining more reputation throughout Night City might not give V any extra stats, but the majority of the game's cooler toys are reserved only for those who make a name for themselves.

Grinding Street Cred in Cyberpunk 2077 can be a little slow, but that's only if players don't know how to do it efficiently. With the 2.0 update, things got a little bit easier, and hitting that max Street Cred cap should be more than doable before players even finish a single-story mission after the Konpeki Plaza heist. Here's how to do it.

While players can technically start ranking up their Street Cred after the intro sequence, this is best done after the Relic heist at the end of Act 1. This is because the 2.0 update made it so all enemies throughout the city scale with V's current level — players no longer have to fear getting killed in one shot when they get into a gunfight with Militech or the Valentinos downtown.

With that being said, the best way to get Street Cred is to do NCPD Scanner Hustles and Cyberpsycho Sightings. There are a ton of NCPD gigs all over the city, and players can filter their map to see exactly where they need to go. Most of these take about a minute to complete, and there's always a decent loot cache to snatch in the midst of all the gangoons surrounding an area.

Cyberpsycho Sightings take a bit longer to finish, and they usually aren't as action-packed as NCPD Scanner Hustles. However, taking the cyberpsychos down non-lethally nets a good chunk of XP, Eddies, and Street Cred. For the sake of farming the latter, this is always worth doing. However, it would be most efficient to only do the ones in between NCPD Scanner Hustles.

The many Fixer Gigs in town also reward large amounts of Street Cred. They take slightly longer to finish both NCPD Scanner Hustles and Cyberpsycho Sightings, but they are usually the most rewarding.

Previously, players would only be able to clear gang activities in areas that fit their level. Now, even a player who's fresh off the Konpeki Plaza heist can head straight to downtown Night City and even Pacifica and start blasting all the criminals they see. Taking enemies down does reward Street Cred, but completing Scanner Hustles is still recommended for the bigger rewards players receive upon their completion.

NCPD Scanner Hustles do not respawn, and they go away permanently once they're completed. Do these, and players should be able to increase their Street Cred faster than they can level up.
