This is thanks to a minor detail spotted by the Reddit user WeirdUncleMike in some of the game's preview footage on the Switch 2. This easily missed detail is actually nothing more than a new waypoint icon that can be found on the game's map, which appears to be a marker for hidden cache locations scattered throughout Cyberpunk 2077's Night City. Fans believe that the marker will work similarly to certain other map elements in that it will only appear to highlight hidden loot when players are in close proximity.
This Subtle Cyberpunk 2077 Feature Would Be Useful to Players on All Platforms
Whatever the case, this small but welcome change would likely help some players track down some environmental secrets that they may have never known about, even after multiple playthroughs. Version 2.2 remains the most recent major update for Cyberpunk 2077, and was released in December last year.
