There’s a long and emotional journey throughout Cyberpunk 2077. One that deserves recognition. There’s an abundance of characters in Cyberpunk 2077, and each serves an interesting purpose. Cyberpunk is ripe with great characters, and these characters were further adapted and fleshed out in CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077.

With the new and only expansion of Cyberpunk 2077 coming soon, the Phantom Liberty DLC will further flesh out the relationship between V and Johnny Silverhand, while promising new and interesting characters. Yet, some characters need to be in Cyberpunk 2077's only expansion, to further grow the incredible base game.

9 Mr. Blue Eyes

Cyberpunk 2077 Mr. Blue Eyes Watching Peralez

If the Cyberpunk 2077 DLC is delving deep into government conspiracy, then Mr. Blue Eyes should be an essential character for the DLC. Mr. Blue Eyes is involved directly in one of the endings for Cyberpunk 2077, as well as the manipulated fate of the politicians Jefferson and Elizabeth Peralez.

It is currently unknown as to who Mr. Blue Eyes is, or more importantly, what he is. Hopefully, his character and his purpose are further expanded in this DLC, as it would only make sense for a shady government character to meddle with presidential business.

8 Morgan Blackhand

Despite being one of the most popular Cyberpunk characters, and someone who can directly contradict the events of Arasaka Tower in 2023, Morgan Blackhand is nothing short of a legend in Night City. However, his whereabouts are still unknown as of 2077, and many want to see what CD Projekt RED plans for Blackhand.

Considering that the developers of Cyberpunk 2077 are not scared to embrace canon characters and put their spin on them, it would be interesting to see what they can get up to with Morgan Blackhand. He’s certainly a character that deserves popularity amongst the likes of Johnny Silverhand.

7 Judy Alvarez

cyberpunk 2077 judy alvarez

One of the most beautiful love stories told in Cyberpunk 2077 involves female V and Judy Alvarez. This character has experienced loss and grief and has been through so much, yet still manages to find a reason to stay in Night City. Some players find themselves coming back to Cyberpunk 2077 just because of the immersion that Judy brings them.

Hopefully, Judy’s story is far from over, and the Phantom Liberty DLC will further flesh out Judy’s character, both as a friend to Male V, and a partner to Female V. Considering Judy is incredibly smart, it would also be great to have more help on the Relic that is killing V.

6 Adam Smasher

One of the baddest of them all, Adam Smasher is entirely ruthless and is much of a killer as he is made of chrome. Adam Smasher was in Cyberpunk 2077 as one of the main antagonists, but players never really got to experience the true horror of his being. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners helped bring that fear back, but that still left players desiring more from Adam Smasher.

If Adam Smasher comes into the fray for the Phantom Liberty DLC, it could further tie the rivalry between him and Johnny Silverhand, while also throwing in hatred for V. It would make the final boss fight more meaningful too if Smasher wins the first round.

5 Rogue Amendiares

The best fixer in Night City and the owner of the Afterlife, nothing gets by without Rogue’s knowledge. It would be a surprise to see the ultimate fixer of Night City skip out on V’s latest adventure, especially when V is an up-and-coming merc that is on their way to becoming a Night City legend.

It would be a shame if Rogue’s story ends with the base game for Cyberpunk 2077, as there’s still a lot of potential for her character before the ending. Rogue has many stories to share about where she has been before 2077, and if any debts are waiting to be paid.

4 Falco

Everybody loves a gentleman cowboy, and this mustache-wielding character was made famous from his debut in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. As one of the last surviving members of David Martinez’s crew, Falco still lives on Earth, whereas Lucy left it for the Moon. Falco even contacts V about David, so perhaps his story is far from over.

It would be great to see Falco in the Phantom Liberty, as it would further connect the ties to Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and Cyberpunk 2077, and hopefully signal for more animated or live-action content in this grand franchise waiting to grow.

3 Panam Palmer

cyberpunk 2077 panam

Panam Palmer may be extremely stubborn, but she has a good heart. That very heart puts her friends and family first, with V and the Aldecaldos forever linked. Panam is an important character in Cyberpunk 2077, one that helps V to see that there is more to life than wanting to be a Night City legend. She helps V to see that there’s beauty in nomadic life.

Panam can also be the romantic interest for Male V, which would further the reasons that players want her in the Cyberpunk 2077 DLC. Panam’s appearance would help to keep the relationship immersive, while also adding to her character through the new Cyberpunk 2077 district and missions.

2 Meredith Stout

Cyberpunk 2077 Militech

If Cyberpunk 2077 teaches players anything, it’s to never trust a corpo, especially one that players have the option to sleep with. Meredith Stout can be a romantic encounter if they play their cards right early in the game. This senior operations manager for Militech certainly has a bigger role to play than initially realized in Cyberpunk 2077.

Hopefully, players will get to see the ins and outs of the corpo life with Meredith Stout at the center. It would be great to learn more about her, and the life that she leads with Militech, as they are a corporation sidelined in favor of Arasaka for the Cyberpunk 2077 campaign.

1 Crispin Weyland

Players will first encounter Crispin Weyland at the Afterlife, as this character is the personal bodyguard of Rogue Amendiares. Crispin is famous for his battle-readiness, but also because his father is the legendary solo, Andrew “Boa Boa” Weyland. Despite the recognition of his father’s legacy, Crispin intends to live a longer life, and not go out in a blaze of glory.

This does not stop Crispin from doing what is asked of him by Rogue, or from taking the fight to Arasaka. Crispin could have his character further fleshed out in the Cyberpunk 2077 DLC, whether that’s on his own accord, or on a mission from Rogue to help V.

Cyberpunk 2077 is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
