The Agaou is an iconic throwable weapon that's perfect for silent and stylish takedowns. It's one of the new unique items introduced in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty and it's worth getting for anyone who wants to keep an electrified exploding tomahawk at the ready.

Finding the Agaou is fairly straightforward, and it can be done as soon as players finish Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty's lengthy intro. This fancy axe is a hop and a skip away from the presidential hideout and Dogtown, and here's exactly where to find it.

Players can pry the Agaou off the cold, dead hands of Ayo Zarin, a member of the Voodoo Boys hiding in one of the Increased Criminal Activity zones dotted around Dogtown. Specifically, the one players are looking for is the building directly south of the Luxor Wellness Spa fast travel point east of Dogtown's center.

A triple skull icon will appear on the player's map once they get close to the location, indicating that Ayo Zarin and her crew are hiding out in the abandoned building near the waypoint. Clear the place out and take down Zarin to get the axe.

The Agaou is similar to other tomahawks in the game. Players can use it as a regular melee weapon, but its special trait only activates when it's thrown — critical hits scored by throwing the weapon cause it to deal electric damage in a small area around the target.

This unique effect works with headshots, weak spot hits on robots, and Vulnerabilities from the Vulnerability Analytics Relic Skill — a powerful addition to any build that relies on ranged damage.

All enemies within the electric blast's radius will be damaged but not necessarily neutralized. Also, despite emitting a very loud burst, Agaou won't alert enemies when its electric blast is triggered, making it more than viable as a stealth weapon. However, keep in mind that the effective throwing range of all tomahawks is shorter than that of knives. This downside is compensated for by their higher base damage.

Agaou cannot be modded, which means it won't be able to take advantage of Javelin for extra armor penetration or Boomerang for free cooldown resets. It can be upgraded through the crafting screen, though, helping it stay relevant well into the tail end of a playthrough, even against max-level enemies. Spending perk points to fully unlock the Juggler skill in the Cool tree is highly recommended for any player who plans on using this weapon.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
