The official trailer for the upcoming second season of Science SARU’s DANDADAN was revealed on Saturday, reiterating its July 3 release date. The new trailer previews Okarun’s battle against the primary antagonist of the Evil Eye arc. Preliminary screenings of the first three episodes of the second season, titled DANDADAN: Evil Eye, are set to hit theatres in Asia starting in May courtesy of Muse, while GKIDS and ADN have licensed it in North America and Europe, respectively, for release sometime in June.
In addition to the new trailer, an official X account was opened to announce an upcoming exhibition of the DANDADAN manga by Yukinobu Tatsu, which is set to take place in June.

After the lacklustre ending to what was otherwise an incredible run for Science SARU’s (Scott Pilgrim Takes Off) adaptation of DANDADAN, fans have been looking forward to the continuation of the anime, which was announced as soon as the first season, which ran from October to December 2024, came to an end. Staff behind the upcoming second season of DANDADAN include season 1 director Fūga Yamashiro (storyboards, Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!), joined by Abel Góngora, storyboard artist, key animator and editor of the first season, who’s in the director’s seat for the second time in his career after Star Wars: Visions in 2022. As for the DANDADAN manga exhibition, the event will be held at Ikebukuro Sunshine City from June 20 to July 6.
The DANDADAN manga by Yukinobu Tatsu has been serialized on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ digital platform since April 2021, and has been collected into 19 volumes so far. The first season of the anime series produced by Science SARU was first announced in December 2023 at the Jump Festa ‘24 event, and was directed by Fūga Yamashiro, with scripts and series composition by Hiroshi Seko (scripts, Attack on Titan: The Final Season), character designs by Naoyuki Onda (character designer, Berserk: The Golden Age) and music by kensuke ushio, who did the CHAINSAW MAN soundtrack. The cast of DANDADAN includes:

DANDADAN Season 2 will broadcast on July 3, with Crunchyroll set to stream it when it airs. The theatrical releases of the first three episodes of the second season will hit US theatres on June 6.
