Danmachi V (or Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Season 5) is heading towards its final epic in great style. After a sudden hiatus, they will finally be able to see the last moments of the Freya arc in just a few days. Danmachi is one of those series that has a solid, albeit niche, fanbase.
As fans prepare to say goodbye to Bell Cranel and the others, they know it will only be for a short time. There is still content to be adapted into more seasons, but the franchise is now headed for its grand finale.
Danmachi's Problem with Committing to Love Interests
Danmachi's struggle to commit to a love interest might be doing it more harm than good.
DanMachi V Season Finale Preview
In preparation for this highly anticipated moment, a new trailer has just been released. It previews Episode 15, the final one of the season, and features amazing battle scenes that will make any fan excited:
DanMachi V Episode 15 Release Date
The season finale of Danmachi V is set to be released in Japan at 10:30 PM on March 6, 2025 (JST). It will finally wrap up the Great Faction War arc, the last part of the broader Freya arc. The season may end with a cliffhanger or something else that connects it to the School District arc.
As usual, the final episode will be added to HIDIVE a few hours after it airs in Japan, with English subs. The series may also be available on other streaming services, like Netflix or Crunchyroll, in select countries, as Hidive likely owns the license to stream it exclusively only in the Americas, the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.
What's Next for DanMachi?
There is an expectation that a continuation of the anime will be announced either right after the broadcast or in the following hours. However, sometimes the production team decides to make the announcement weeks or months later, when they have something more solid to present, like a trailer or anything of the sort.
The Freya arc covers Volumes 16–18. From Volume 19 onwards, the story entered its current arc. So far, there are only two more volumes to be adapted (Volumes 19 and 20). However, the author has already revealed that volume 21 will be the beginning of the final arc.
Since there isn't much content to adapt at this point, the production might decide to turn the School District arc into a movie (or a movie series combined with the upcoming final arc), or they might just wait longer to greenlight the next season.
DanMachi V is available on HIDIVE, subbed (simulcast) and dubbed (a few weeks later) in the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. Sentai Filmworks' service also streams previous seasons and movies.
