Where to Find Cam in Date Everything
I'm a Trash Can!
Cam is the human embodiment of the trash cans around the house. I interacted with the trash can in the kitchen, which can be found just to the right of the drinks cabinet (which can be interacted with to speak with Bev), and underneath the window (used to unlock the Glitch City achievement/trophy). With the Dateviators equipped, 'scan' the trash can and you'll meet Cam.
How to Romance Cam in Date Everything
Let's Not be Gross
To romance Cam in Date Everything, you need to avoid talking about how gross, trashy, or disgusting trash is, and then apologize on your fifth interaction with him. Not talking about how disgusting trash is might sound like a bit of a strange requirement, but these sorts of comments upset Cam.
The majority of your interactions with Cam revolve around giving him pieces of trash to dispose of. When you're giving him each piece of trash, avoid comments about how they're disgusting trash or anything that paints the object you're giving him in an overtly negative way. Sometimes, you'll be forced to make one of these comments after selecting it from the range of items, as you'll only have one dialogue option.
At these points, Cam will get angry and, in some cases, end the conversation abruptly. When you're forced into these situations, make sure you apologize and don't make comments about him being overly sensitive or needing to 'get over' the language you're using.
During the fourth interaction with Cam, he'll get particularly mad, and it seems as though you've got his 'Hate' ending, but the relationship status screen won't show up.
Go and speak to him on the fifth day and follow these specific dialogue options to successfully romance him:
- I want to apolog... Wait did you just call me a pig?
- Why is it so unlikely I'd come back?
- Because I was wrong. And I'm sorry.
- Wow. You don't get apologized to a lot, do you?
- You're kinda sexy when you're grateful.
- Let's do it. Let's get trashy.
- You didn't trust me before. How could you know I wasn't making fun?
As long as you've learned not to discuss how disgusting and gross trash is, by choosing these options, you'll have successfully romanced Cam.
How to Get Cam's Friends and Hate Endings in Date Everything
Getting Cam's 'Friends' and 'Hate' endings is relatively straightforward, as one requires a simple dialogue change or two towards the end of the 'Love' dialogue options, and another requires you to just go the complete opposite approach.
Friends
To be friends with Cam, after you've apologized to him, you simply need to choose the 'Shutting up. Thanks for being cool. I like talking to you.' Dialogue option. This will allow you to pivot the conversation onto the 'friends' relationship, rather than going the hot and steam route that the 'You're kinda sexy when you're grateful' dialogue option takes you down.
Hate
Getting Cam to hate you is incredibly easy, as you just need to spend the whole time insulting him and making fun of him for being sensitive about trash being gross and disgusting. It doesn't take long for Cam to realize that you're not going to see eye to eye and decides you'll be enemies instead.
