Captain Jacques Pierrot is dateable #27 and easily takes the crown as the most annoying character in Date Everything. He's a little bit difficult to get on with initially, and so it's very easy to make a mistake and lock yourself out of romancing the pint-sized pirate. Fortunately, I've gone through and figured out exactly what you need to do to get his 'Love,' 'Friend,' and 'Hate' endings in Date Everything, so you can tick him off the list of romanceable household objects.

Cam can be a prickly customer in Date Everything, but avoiding some key pitfalls can ensure players get his 'Love' ending fairly easily.

How to Romance Captain Jacques Pierrot in Date Everything

Romancing Captain Jacques is not only one of the most difficult questlines to complete, but also one of the easiest to mess up, as you can lock yourself out of it if you advance Beau's questline too far before speaking with him twice. His prickly personality also makes it difficult to know what he actually likes and doesn't like. To make it simpler, follow the dialogue options and steps below and you'll have him head over heels for you in no time.

First Interaction

  • Startin' off well, I see.
  • ... Whoa.
  • Cool, you have enemies?
  • Do they rub you the wrong way?
  • Yeah... I actually didn't mean to insult you.
  • I'm falling in love with your magnificence...
  • You're going to kill me?
  • I'm bearing... I'm bearing!
  • I thought you were... Going to kill me?
  • Seems like you're talking a lot about it and not... Doing anything.
  • Oh. A speculative stabbing.
  • That was kinda poetic.
  • But... You speak so beautifully!
  • But you look beautiful to me...
  • What the hell was that noise?
  • You don't like it when people are nice to you?
  • What the hell's a yardarm?
  • Of course I'm not. I'm just disagreeing with you! VIOLENTLY!
  • Ah yes, cannon... I can evade that easily. I'll turn my face fully to you, no broadsides today, buccaneer!
  • What do you say we take this to deeper water?

You need to complete the second interaction with Captain Jacques Pierrot before you speak to Beau (the cardboard boxes) about embarking on a two-part quest. If you start the quest with Beau, it will lock you out of Jacque's 'Love' ending, as you can't have the second interaction with him again.

Second Interaction

  • Are you kidding? You're SO much fun.
  • Oh, just hoping we can fight/flirt some more.
  • Wanna lick your salty deck, ya rogue.
  • What about foreplay?
  • Damn. See? This is what I'm lookin' for!
  • I'm really hoping you'll try...
  • Why do you want me to leave so badly?
  • Thank Poseidon, tell me!
  • Cool. I'll just.. I'll be back.

Now go and speak to Beau and advance her questline until she says you'll need to visit Jacques and his pirate ship. After Jacque catches you and Beau sneaking around his ship in search of the sword, he'll insist on joining you on the adventure. Now interact with the cardboard boxes again and go through the adventure. You can choose to let Gaia summarize the entire second part of this adventure for you and save yourself 30 minutes. It won't stop you from getting a 'Love' ending with Captain Jacques Pierrot.

Third Interaction

  • You can go anywhere you want?
  • They're HUGE.
  • Are you kidding? I'm here to claim the heart of a pirate.
  • Oh please. That's half of why I'm into this.

How to Get Captain Jacques Pierrot's 'Friend' and 'Hate' Endings in Date Everything

Becoming friends or sworn enemies with Jacques is much easier once than getting his love ending, as you don't need to have the second interaction with him at all. If you speak to Beau and start the adventure before speaking with Captain Jacque Pierrot, you'll only have two options when you speak to him after completing the second part of Beau's adventure with him.

Friends

To be friends with Captain Jacques Pierrot, after he shows you his cockroach army in the third interaction, choose the dialogue option: "I still don't get your self-naming... But I just wanted to say hi!" This will cause him to say you'll be friends, but he doesn't see things going beyond that.

Hate

To make Captain Jacques Pierrot hate you, choose the "Wanted to see if you were still weak enough to get hurt when I make fun of you" dialogue instead. Continue to belittle and mock him for his size, and eventually, he'll accept that you're born to be sworn enemies.

All three endings can be obtained if you follow the 'romance' route I've outlined above by just choosing each of the respective dialogue options when he asks why you've come to see him.
