Chance is dateable #60 in Date Everything and is a really enthusiastic and friendly guy. He's also quite well hidden in comparison to some of the other characters you can find in the game. Depending on who you've already spoken to in the game, you might have already encountered him during another character's questline. In this guide, I'll explain how to find him, get his 'Love,' 'Friends,' and 'Hate' endings, and what you need to do to realize him so he can live freely within the world of Date Everything.
Date Everything: The Hanks Romance Guide
The Hanks are a group of thrill-seekers that players can win over in Date Everything. Here's how to find and romance them.
Where to Find Chance in Date Everything
Dateable #60's Location Is a Little Tricky to Find
Chance is the D20 dice on the left-hand side of the desk in your office (where you can also meet Mac). While it might seem easy enough to find, because it's small, it can be easy to overlook him. Regardless, use your Dateviators on the D20 dice and Chance will appear, ready for you to jump into his adventure.
How to Romance Chance in Date Everything
The way to Chance's heart is, unsurprisingly, Graveyards and Gargoyles (G&G). If you want to win him over without direct instructions, focus on staying in character, winning the game, and being enthusiastic about partaking. He'll appreciate the effort you're putting in and, as long as you've rolled your dice right, should win his heart.
To help you make sure you get every dialogue option right, I've included the dialogue options I selected in each interaction to get a 'Love' ending with Chance below.
First Interaction
- ... What did you call me?
- Oh! Well then. A good day to you!
- You know what they say about all work and no play.
- Are you kidding me? Of course I've heard of G and G!
- I'm partial to... All of them, actually. How could I possibly choose?
- That would be a lot of fun, Chance!
- Can we play with just the two of us?
- I can roll with that! What's next?
- I dunno, this sounds right up my alley!
- You would do that for me? You're the best.
- What do you suggest I play as?
- The Troubadour sounds like fun!
- When do we get to play?!
- Sounds great! I can't wait!
Second Interaction
- I couldn't stay away from your cute face!
- Ready, Chance!
- [Sass 25] WHO'S READY TO ROCK! LET ME HEAR IT, COUNTER TOP!
- I toss them a coin for their prompt service.
- I try to get a better look at them.
- What's The Butcher Block?
- I ask them, "What do you want with a simple singer?"
- They think that... Oh!
- They may be beautiful but there's no way they're as hot as you, Chance.
- Okay! I'll do it! I'll save the Prince!
- It's great because I'm doing it with you!
- I break from the path to see what they do.
- Ahh!! What is that thing?
- I wanna knock this Knobgoblin's knob off!
- Maybe this is a sign. I need to collect myself before moving forward.
- I open my eyes, looking for the sound.
- I bow. Instantly. No wait! I kneel!
- I'm on my way to save your son.
- I would be honored to have you by my side.
- Let's make 'em go Night-Night!
- "Is something the matter here, my Queen?"
- What?? The King?
- Monologue away!
- I try to dodge out of the way!
- The Queen gave a command. Save the Prince!
- I'm going for the King!
- I hope the shield works!
- I start to throw sonic spells!
- I understand your insinuation and I am all for it.
It only takes these two interactions to successfully 'romance' Chance, but there are other campaigns you can complete with him if you speak to him again.
How to Get Chance's Friends and Hate Endings in Date Everything
Chance's 'Friend' and 'Hate' endings are pretty easy to get, as they simply require you to select one dialogue option towards the end of the 'romance' dialogue options listed above, or to just show absolutely no interest in playing the game with him.
Friends
In the final interaction with Chance, just choose the dialogue option "Oh... This was just supposed to be a fun thing to do with friends!" When he asks "We could move from the character sheet to the uh... Other... Sheets?". This will pivot you away from the 'Love' ending and ensure you're friends instead.
Hate
If you want Chance to hate you, make fun of the game, break character, show little interest in taking it seriously, and lose. Chance will take your mockery and lack of interest in his passion to heart, and you'll get the 'Hate' ending.
