Date Everything just rolled out a critical update for all of its platforms, as well as the Mega Patch for the Nintendo Switch, bringing the console up to date with all of its previous hotfixes. Featuring some vital bug fixes, optimization improvements, and more, fans should now have a much smoother time in Date Everything on all platforms.
When it first released on June 17, Date Everything captured the hearts of players everywhere, quickly becoming a top seller on Steam. Over the next month and a half, Date Everything released two updates to fix various issues in the game: Hotfix 1 on June 23, and Hotfix 2 on July 7.
There's Already a Date Everything Copycat Game
Nearly a month after Date Everything's successful launch, another game appears to copy the formula, though the result comes off as rather bizarre.
Now, Date Everything has rolled out its third post-launch stability update. Titled Hotfix 2.1, this patch is primarily geared towards repairing critical issues that emerged with save files after the second update. On Steam, this often manifested as fans becoming stuck on the loading screen indefinitely. This glitch, along with some problems involving the Date Everything SPECS losing stats, especially in New Game+, should be resolved as of this hotfix.
However, gamers who play Date Everything on the Nintendo Switch received a lot more adjustments. In addition to the Hotfix 2.1 changes, the Switch version of Date Everything finally got all the improvements from Hotfix 1 and 2, bundled together in what Sassy Chap Games called the "Nintendo Switch Mega Patch." This means Switch gamers who install this update on the Nintendo Switch should be up-to-date on every game improvement that is currently available as of this build.
Players have still been encountering plenty of bugs in the hit indie romance simulator, including some progress blockers and dialogue loops for Date Everything characters like Lyric, Scandalabra, Dasha, Rebel, and Celia. Sassy Chap Games is hard at work on its third full hotfix update, which will address these problems and more. Fans can expect to learn more about this upcoming patch soon.
In the meantime, gamers who haven’t started Date Everything have a great opportunity to do so right now. Until August 11, the Date Everything Lavish Edition – which includes both the base game and the premium Lavish DLC and its two extra dateables, artbook, OST, and in-game customizations – is on sale for $31.49. Considering the game itself is $30, and the Lavish DLC is typically $8, this incredible bargain is one that new players won’t want to miss.
Date Everything Hotfix 2.1
Hotfix 2.1 is LIVE on PC!
This patch addresses critical save-related issues surfaced with Hotfix 2. Saves are handled differently across various platforms, manifesting the issue in several ways. On steam, this tends to leave players stuck on the loading screen.
This issue should now be resolved.
SPECS
In addition, we have aimed to get to the bottom of SPECS discrepancies and have worked hard to get this complex system right. As an effect players might see changes in their score, but that has been done to more accurately capture the intended state.
If SPECS are lost from New Game+, we recommend reloading a save from right before this patch, initiating the epilogue, and starting again from there. We apologize for the inconvenience.
