Date Everything: Beverly Romance Guide

Romancing Beverly can be tricky in Date Everything due to a glitch that limits progressions. Here's how to find and romance her.

Where to Find Lyric in Date Everything

He Is His Passion

Lyric can be interacted with by using your Dateviators on any of the books or magazines in the house. You can find some lying around on the coffee table in the living room, or on a shelf in your bedroom closet, for example.

How to Romance Lyric in Date Everything

To get Lyric's 'Love' ending, you need to help him write the best book possible. This happens during your second interaction with him. The choices you make for his book will determine the ending you get, with the 'correct' choices getting you his 'love' ending. To help make sure you don't make a wrong step along the way, I've included every dialogue choice I made in each interaction with him to get his 'Love' ending below.

First Interaction

  • Ok, but what if I was a zombie.
  • Wow, you speak zombie?
  • No.
  • I'm totally curious! What are you reading right now?
  • Quite a varied collection you've got.
  • What do you do with all this reading?
  • Do you write your own stuff?
  • Really? But... You're Literature! That seems like a big hole.
  • So let's fill it in!

Second Interaction

  • Zoo?
  • For sure! Let's rock and roll.
  • Oh hell yes. This is going to be great!
  • He didn't expect the first crime he ran into to be in the form a blond bombshell named Daphne Fatale.
  • Wen asks Daphne when she last saw her husband - she replies 'at the squid cannery down on the misty wharf.'
  • Gregor takes Xander to his backrooms, where his most muscle-bound and sweatiest cannerers can.
  • Xander investigates each one, finding a highly suspicious cannerer named 'Kliff.'
  • Xander finds that Cliff faked his own death to avoid gambling debts, protecting Daphne.
  • No, let's go ahead with this one!

It's ok to go slightly off from the dialogue choices above, as long as you don't use the incredibly silly or nonsensical, narrative-breaking choices instead. As long as what you're suggesting make some sort of sense, you can still achieve Lyric's 'Love' ending. However, if you just want to guarantee you romance him, use the options above.

Third Interaction

  • Who?
  • At this point, Celia, Wallace, and Florence will give their feedback. If you've followed the dialogue choices in the second interaction, they should enjoy it, even if it's not true literature.
  • Absolutely!

Fourth Interaction

  • Anything for you... My love!

How to Get Lyric's 'Friends' and 'Hate' Endings in Date Everything

lyrice romance friends date everything

Getting Lyric's two other endings is pretty straightforward, as you can simply choose a dialogue option in the fourth interaction to pivot off the 'Love' ending and onto the 'Friends' ending.

Friends

To become friends with Lyric, rather than choosing the 'Anything for you... My love!' Dialogue option in the fourth interaction, choose 'I'll always help you, buddy. You're so creative!' This will make sure Lyric doesn't get the wrong idea, and just sees you as a supportive friend instead of a love interest and inspiration for a romantic novel.

Hate

To make Lyric hate you, choose completely nonsensical dialogue options when helping him write his own story. Flip from one narrative to another, bring pirates into the action for no reason, and don't take it seriously at all. When Celia, Wallace, and Florence all say that the book is no good, tell him he should publish it anyway. The following day, he'll claim that you've tried to sabotage him and will hate you for making him look like a fool of the literary world.

If you decide to fool around with your suggestions to Lyric the first time, you can always choose to not publish his book after the review and start over. Alternatively, you can see his 'Hate' ending through to the end and then use a Candy from Keith to have another try.
