Eagle-eyed players may figure out where Shadowlord is hiding by themselves, but most will probably need a hint, at the very least. The following guide will explain exactly where Date Everything players can find Shadowlord, and also provide information on how they can achieve a love ending with him.

Where to Find Shadowlord in Date Everything

There's a globe in one of the corners of the living room. If players scan it with their Dateviators, they'll find Gaia, but if they instead look down at the floor beneath the globe, they'll see a rather unusual-looking shadow that doesn't appear as though it's being cast by any visible light source. To meet Shadowlord, they should scan the shadow beneath the globe while wearing the Dateviators.

How to Romance Shadowlord in Date Everything

Although he certainly looks the part, players will quickly realize that Shadowlord is a bit of an edgelord; as evidenced by the Xs and the 420 in his handle. Those hoping to romance him should feed into his delusions by agreeing with everything that he says and telling him how cool he is at every possible opportunity. This will lead to him dubbing them his penumbra, and, after a few conversations, revealing his true form.

As part of their conversations with Shadowlord, players will need to play a game of Hangman. His word is Shadow. If players hope to get a love ending with him, they should choose You're Cute when asked what their mysterious text is. It's possible that other options work here as well, but You're Cute is the only one that we tested.

Should You Become a Shadow in Date Everything?

After Shadowlord reveals his true form, players should continue to tell him how cool he is, which will eventually lead to him offering to turn them into a shadow so that they can be with him forever. This may seem like a big decision, but it really isn't, and will have no long-term effects on the playthrough outside of the Shadowlord storyline. With this in mind, players should choose the "Okay. Shadow Time" option.

After the ritual, Shadowlord will begin to doubt himself, so players should make sure to reassure him. He'll soon realize that the whole idea of turning them into a shadow was tied to his fear of rejection, but with the right reassurances, he's able to move past all this. He'll then ask the player why they keep coming back to speak with him, at which point, they should profess their love and tell him that he's cute. This will secure the love ending and reward players with five Smarts points.
