Volt and Eddie are a real pair of characters in Date Everything and also the only 'duo' you'll romance at the same time. The problem is, actually romancing them can be incredibly tricky due to some very specific requirements and dialogue options that players need to choose. If you're struggling to figure out how to get the 'Love' relationship status with this electric pair, this guide will help you out. Here's everything you need to know about how to romance Volt and Eddie in Date Everything.
How to Get the Game Over Achievement/Trophy in Date Everything
One of Date Everything's more unusual achievements tasks players with dying in the game, which is a little unusual for a dating sim.
Where to Find Volt and Eddie in Date Everything
Sparks Will Fly
Volt and Eddie can be found in the electric breaker box in the storage cupboard on the first floor. From your bedroom, head left of the stairs and open the door immediately on your left next to the gym. The breaker box is the blue thing stuck on the wall. Get your Dateviators on and 'scan' it to initiate your first interaction with Volt and Eddie.
You don't need to have a specific amount of SPECS points to complete Volt and Eddie's questline and get any of the endings (unlike Maggie), so feel free to pursue this one whenever you like.
How to Romance Volt and Eddie in Date Everything
As noted above, Volt and Eddie come as a pair, and so you need to romance both of them to successfully get the 'Love' relationship status. I managed to successfully romance them by choosing the following dialogue options. Below, I've described what happens on each day, before giving the responses I gave. This should enable you to follow along and also get the 'Love' ending.
It might also be possible to get a 'Love' ending with different dialogue options from the ones shared below. However, I have verified this method and can guarantee you a romantic ending with the electric duo.
First Interaction
On your first meeting with them, you'll be introduced to the pair and Volt will insist that you watch a show with them. Pick the following dialogue options:
- I live here, actually.
- Striking, huh?
- Take Volt's hand.
- Yeah, it really is. I kinda feel underdressed...
- Oh wow, that even happens here?
- Uhhh, am I?
- I guess not.
- Is he okay?
- You sure you don't need to check on Eddie?
- I'm not convinced. Maybe I should go check on him then.
- Lead the way!
- Speak with Eddie.
- Well, if the club is closed, why don't you and I hang out?
- Are you always this much of an asshole?
Second Interaction
This interaction starts with the two arguing about Eddie having too much to do and not resting. You'll also get another opportunity to speak with Eddie, and choosing the right dialogue options here is crucial to get the 'Love' ending.
- Came for the shows. The stage and, well. You.
- Sure, let's get situated.
- Wait for Volt.
- Leave.
- Eddie, how are you?
- Is it just you here closing up?
- No, actually I was looking for you.
- Something is wrong in this club...
- Weird things keep happening with the power. He says it's nothing but it doesn't seem like nothing.
- The lights flickering and making a buzzing sound?
- To help.
- Eddie, come on. Please?
- If he could handle it, he would've. He's in over his head.
- Yeah, I do.
- I'm born to screw.
- What kind of work?
- Right, got it. I'll be here.
- Enjoy.
Third Interaction
In this interaction, you won't spend any time with Volt or have to watch a Spotlight performance. This one's all about Eddie.
- Of course I did. I said I would.
- I'm not afraid of hard work.
- Let's get started.
- Oooh, so that's what we're doing, maintenance?
- Are you saying Volt is wearing down?
- Uh y-yeah, I think so.
- Replacing the lightbulb, like you said!
- Oops...
- Oooooh, not to touch them.
- I will, I will.
- I'm good, really. Thanks for catching me.
- It's actually kinda fun doing this stuff. Working with your hands.
- Well, I had a pretty good teacher.
- Or I could stay and hang out for a bit?
- I still don't understand how any of this actually helps Volt or the power issues.
- I guess that makes sense.
Fourth Interaction
The following day, you'll be helping Eddie out again with more maintenance work for the Junction Box. One of the critical choices for romancing Volt and Eddie comes in this section, so make sure to pick the exact choices below.
- Everything hurts and I slept forever but... I don't know, I had a lot of fun learning how to do stuff.
- Well, maybe it's because you're fun to be around.
- I mean it! It's kinda sexy when you're in teacher mode.
- You make this really cute face when you're concentrating.
- And give you the satisfaction of saying I left early? No way.
- YUP.
- This is perfect.
- Really, we did it all?
- What about you?
- Can I still come by and help? The day to day stuff sounds fun.
- Why is it so hard for you to believe I actually like spending time with you?
- Oh. I hadn't thought about that. I guess so, yeah.
- You're not coming?
- And why is that?
- And it's just to avoid hurting Volt? Nothing to do with you?
- You feel guilty about falling behind with this stuff, don't you?
- You really care about him.
- I totally will. Protect a friendship? Hell yes.
Fifth Interaction
This is the final interaction you'll have with Volt and Eddie to get their romance ending. If you've followed every dialogue option up to this point, you should have some all-important options unlocked when it comes to discussing what to do about a faulty wire that causes a power outage. All the correct options are below.
- The club is nice, but that's not what keeps me coming back...
- I think you know.
- It's you I can't get enough of.
- I thought you'd never ask.
- Kiss Volt.
- Volt!
- What's going on, what happened to you guys?
- What about what you needed?
- What does that make Volt, exactly? (This might be the 'wrong' choice here, but I still got the romantic ending, so feel free to deviate if you want to).
- What is? What do you need?
- Change is scary, but it can lead to something good.
- Whatever happens, you don't have to go through it alone. I'm here.
- You're doing great, almost there.
- Reset the Power.
- Did it work?
- Hello yourself. How are you feeling?
- What was that? One more time, couldn't hear you.
- Wait, taken with me as in...?
- The feeling is very much mutual.
- I'm in!
How to Get the Friendship and Hate Relationships with Volt and Eddie in Date Everything
To get the friendship relationship, you just need to choose the dialogue option 'Only if you're about to spell F-R-I-E-N-D-S-H-I-P.' Dialogue option after successfully repairing the wire and the two confess their feelings to you.
The hate relationship is also pretty easy to get. When Eddie tells you to keep your working with him to fix up the Junction Box a secret, don't keep the promise. Mention it to Volt the following day and Eddie will be furious with you. In general, if you fail to solve the problem and don't put effort in with Eddie, you'll also get the 'Hate' ending.
