Days Gone Remastered was developed by Bend Studio, and it seems the devs have slipped a few surprises into the reworked game for fans of the zombie-killing title.
Days Gone Remastered launched on April 25 with a price tag of $49.99. However, those that already own the game, as long as they actually bought it and didn't claim it through PS Plus, can get the remaster for $10. Days Gone Remastered features new game modes like Horde Assault where players face off against waves of hostiles that steadily increase in difficulty to unlock a suite of new characters and rewards.

A Reddit user who goes by Scoped_Evil recently shared a post highlighting a newly modeled flashlight that hangs around Deacon’s neck and was not present in the original version of the game. Many in the comments noted that, in the original edition, the light would simply appear from Deacon and praised the added realism provided by the new flashlight.

On top of the new flashlight, Days Gone Remastered offers expanded accessibility options such as high contrast mode, UI narration, and adjustable game speed. It also brings a swathe of performance and visual upgrades, including enhanced graphics and 3D audio support.
Unfortunately, Bend's Days Gone 2 pitch was reportedly rejected. This is despite Days Gone reached an impressive milestone, racking up 200 million hours of playtime in the year after its release, which suggests there is definitely an audience out there for a follow-up. Until then, fans can enjoy the remaster, which features plenty of upgrades and new content.
