One of the best CRPGs ever created, I believe Fallout is one of the classic games that truly mastered the genre's formula. There’s so much freedom in what you can do, and the story is one of its strongest points. The characters are cool, well-developed, and even today, I’m still hoping for a spin-off that brings the franchise back to this classic style.

For many old school players this is the best game in the series. Even in 2024 I was still able to enjoy the game, and it had one of the best stories in the entire series!

Fallout 2 improved on everything Fallout 1 set up. The world is bigger, the story is deeper, and the combat is a bit smoother. However, it still carries that old-school RPG grind, which can be tough. The humor and choices make it fun, but expect a lot of wandering and trial and error. It’s a great game, but it can feel clunky compared to modern RPGs.
