Far Cry 5 may not have much in the way of revolutionary new ideas, but it streamlines Ubisoft's open world formula and delivers one of the best games in the series.

A solid game in many areas with a very interesting story. Unfortunately it does become quite repetitive, and I found the villains to be more interesting than the allies in many cases.

Far Cry 5 is a game that doesn't take itself too seriously and I think that helps a lot with it being successful.
It doesn't have a villain in the level of Far Cry 3, but the game's massive world divided between the rulers is a good approach. Also, the combat in Far Cry 5 is satisfying, though the AI is as dumb as it could ever be.

It started strong with its open-world chaos, but the structure of tackling the region bosses made the narrative feel like a grind. It felt like a missed opportunity for something deeper.

This game was one of the ones that sold me on learning to program and develop games as a hobby. The story was incredible and the voice acting is just as good. There will never be another FC in the franchise as good and as close to my heart as FC5.

Although I have enjoyed countless games from the Far Cry franchise, Far Cry 5 appealed to me the most due to its interesting narrative that focused on multiple 'family' members of a Cult. Exploring the different regions controlled by these leaders led to many memorable experiences, where I feel that I too have been conditioned by Jacob Seed. Far Cry 5 is only made better due to how the entire story can also be experienced with a friend, leading to plenty of hilarious moments.
