Very underrated. I believe people rushed through the game instead of actually playing and exploring and listening to people who put it down and didn't play it. I've had some of the greatest NPC shoot outs on this game. Two tanks a chopper and 10 or more soldiers after you just trying to survive that is awesome and if you get out there exploring help captured gorillas and and take those road check stations you will find the love I have for this far cry game and 3 4 and 5 and new dawn.

Bland and uninspired, relying too much on Ubisoft’s repetitive formula. The story failed to grab me, and the gameplay felt like a slog.

A real step back for the Far Cry series. Unfortunately the characters and story are quite horrendous (not quite on a par with Saints Row, but not massively better), though the gunplay and exploration are still enjoyable.
