It’s a huge step away from the open-world chaos we see in later entries, but it still has that unmistakable GTA vibe—just in a top-down, retro style. The story is simple, but I loved how the game revolved around gang warfare, where I could choose which factions to ally with or betray. The driving and shooting mechanics are primitive compared to later GTA games, but there’s something about the chaos of running over pedestrians and causing mayhem in such a pixelated world that’s oddly satisfying. The humor is there, the missions are fun, and it’s a great slice of GTA history. While it doesn’t have the depth or polish of the modern games, it still manages to capture that wild, rebellious spirit.
