Description
Five years ago Carl Johnson escaped from the pressures of life in Los Santos, San Andreas — a city tearing itself apart with gang trouble, drugs, and corruption. Where film stars and millionaires do their best to avoid the dealers and gangbangers.
Now, it's the early '90s. Carl's got to go home. His mother has been murdered, his family has fallen apart and his childhood friends are all heading toward disaster.
On his return to the neighborhood, a couple of corrupt cops frame him for homicide. CJ is forced on a journey that takes him across the entire state of San Andreas, to save his family and to take control of the streets.

Ah, San Andreas—where do I even begin? This game was my absolute go-to back in the day. The world felt massive and alive, like you could just drive for hours and still discover something new. I mean, who didn’t spend way too much time cruising around with the radio on, right? The story was one of the best in the series, too—CJ’s journey from the streets to the top of the game was gripping. Sure, the controls were a bit clunky at times, but for a game this big, it felt like a masterpiece. Definitely a classic.

It's my childhood. My history. The words can't really tell how much fun I had playing this game as a child and how big of an impact it had on the entire industry.
San Andreas was just the biggest leap ever in the open-world genre. It was the best thing to ever happen in the industry.
Three big cities, massive urban areas, an abundance of side jobs, deep car customization, incredible gunplay, satisfying driving mechanics, and an unforgettable campaign with lots of sarcasm.
Name something better, I'll wait!

The PlayStation 2 has one of the best libraries in gaming, but GTA San Andreas still takes the cake for me. Easily one of my favorite games of all time.

Pretty much as good as it gets when it comes to open world games! Letting players explore three distinct cities and take CJ from a lowly hoodlum up to being a fully-fledged crime boss is also one of the most satisfying story arcs in gaming.
