Halo 5: Guardians

Halo 5: Guardians, overall, is still a solid entry for Halo. The shining star of this game is the multiplayer. It truly is one of the best Halo multiplayers to have been released. The different modes, vast variety of weapons, solid maps, and the mechanics are some of the bests in the series. Just like many reviewers, however, the campaign is lacking. The story is vastly different, and it just does not have the Halo vibe. I understand what 343 was trying to do with having two separate views between Spartan Locke and the Master Chief, I believe they were trying to recreate Halo 2 in where you played both the Arbiter and Master Chief. However, the story is just very convoluted and muddled in Halo 5: Guardians. Also, the balance between Locke and Master Chief was off, I feel in this game Master Chief was second fiddle and Locke was trying to be the main star. The story is not terrible, but it is not great. But the multiplayer does help make up for the campaign because there is hundreds of hours' worth of content for the online side to make up for the mid campaign.

Halo 5 had solid multiplayer, but the campaign left me wanting more. The story felt scattered, and I missed playing as Master Chief for most of it. Still, the gameplay and visuals were top-notch.
