I long considered the Batman: Arkham series to be untouchable as far as super hero RPGs are concerned, but the first Spider-Man game definitely showed that Marvel is upping their game on the video game market. I really enjoyed the experience of swinging through New York city, and the storyline was on par with the solid narratives of Spidey that have been told before.

This one is an absolute masterpiece. The fluid web-swinging, gripping story, and stunning visuals make it the ultimate Spider-Man experience. It nails the balance between Peter Parker’s struggles and Spider-Man’s heroics. I could play this game for hours and still find something new to enjoy.

Even though I beat the game years ago, I still find myself launching it every now and then just to swing around New York City.
What really makes this game special, though, is how perfectly it captures both sides of the character: Peter Parker and Spider-Man. As someone who’s been a fan of Spidey for years, I can confidently say this is one of the best versions of him across any Spider-Man media. The personality, the humor, the heart—it’s all here, and it’s done so well.

One of the best superhero games around. It really is an evolution of the classic Spider-Man 2 movie tie-in game, granting players the same aerial freedom with a stunning new coat of paint. The game's story is great too, putting new spins on classic characters while tying into the traditional themes of Spider-Man in an emotional way. The sequels are great too. A must play!

After Arkham Knight, Marvel's Spider-Man is probably the only superhero game that is worth playing.
It comes with a massive city with lots of side-quests and an interesting campaign. Of course, not as good as Arkham Knight's dark world, but still a satisfying experience.

Swinging around the city never got old, and the story was so good I couldn’t put it down. Getting the Platinum trophy felt amazing—definitely one of my favorite superhero games ever.
