Mega Man X7 takes the series to 3D, and, well... it’s a rough transition. The controls feel clunky, the camera is wonky, and the levels just don’t have that same smooth flow the 2D games had. The story tries to be serious, but it’s hard to take it seriously when the gameplay is so awkward. It’s not a total disaster, but definitely the low point of the X series.
