Minecraft: Story Mode is a fun, unexpected twist on the Minecraft universe. I went into it expecting something lighthearted, and it totally delivered. The narrative is surprisingly engaging, and the characters are endearing, with plenty of funny and dramatic moments. The episodic structure lets you make choices that affect the story, which I appreciated, even if they don’t always drastically change the outcome. The visuals are a nice departure from the classic blocky style, with more detailed environments that still keep that signature Minecraft charm. While it’s a bit more linear than the sandbox experience of the main game, it’s a fun and refreshing change of pace that I enjoyed just for the adventure and storytelling.
