The bold art style and flashy effects stood out, but the races didn’t feel all that different from previous entries. It’s stylish, but I wish the gameplay had more depth to match its looks.

While it was better than Heat, Unbound is still faraway from NFS's glorious days during the Most-Wanted and Underground 2 era.
The game's races are quite repetitive. The lack of different and unique activities make it feel like a chore to play.

Unbound is a bold new step for the franchise with its unique cel-shaded art style. The racing feels as fast and chaotic as ever, but I wasn't sure about the visual style at first. After getting into it, though, it grew on me, and I loved the new take on street racing.
