The game that made street racing cool again. The customization was groundbreaking at the time, and the neon-drenched city vibes were unmatched. However, the lack of an open world made it feel a bit confined compared to what came later.

Underground is where Need for Speed really hit its stride. The customizations were a game-changer, and I loved tweaking my car for every race. The soundtrack was fire, and the street racing was fast, fun, and felt like pure rebellion. My favorite NFS to this day.

Underground set the stone for the illegal racing sub-genre in Need For Speed. The game's nighttime races and the expansive controls over customization made it stand out.
