Description
The forest of Nibel is dying. After a powerful storm sets a series of devastating events in motion, an unlikely hero must journey to find his courage and confront a dark nemesis to save his home. “Ori and the Blind Forest” tells the tale of a young orphan destined for heroics, through a visually stunning action-platformer crafted by Moon Studios for PC. A breathtakingly beautiful game with a story that hits hard. The platforming was both challenging and rewarding, though some sections had me pulling my hair out in frustration.

A wonderfully detailed and unique 2D platformer. Ori and the Blind Forest goes the extra mile in terms of art style, music and narrative. Gameplay is also very solid but extremely challenging for those who are not used to platform/puzzle games!

Ori and the Blind Forest is a masterpiece in disguise—what looks like a cute, colorful platformer is actually an emotional juggernaut. The controls are smooth as butter, and every jump feels like a well-timed dance move. But, man, the story hits hard; it’s one of those games where you go in thinking it’s a fun time, and then it wrecks you emotionally. The art style is drop-dead gorgeous, and each level has that perfect balance of challenge without wanting to toss your controller through a wall. Honestly, if you can get past the feels and the tricky platforming bits, Ori is like a beautiful hug for your soul.
