This game was so much better than I could thought! While clearly eclipsed by the sequel, RDR still holds up as a solid open-world shooter and the story provides a satisfying conclusion to the events in RDR2.

This game was groundbreaking when it launched, and it still holds up as one of the best stories in gaming. The Wild West setting is beautifully realized, and John Marston’s journey is unforgettable. It may not have the polish of its sequel, but it’s an absolute classic that paved the way for what came after.
