Spyro the Dragon was the first game I had ever played on the original PlayStation, and was also my first 3D game as well. I had only played games on the Super Nintendo and Game Boy Color up to that point, and having colorful 3D environments to explore blew my young mind away.
The story is pretty simple, but the gameplay is both fun and addicting. Combine that with the music and you've got a great 3D platformer/collecatathon on your hands. While the remake was decent, it didn't quite capture the charm of this classic. I try to load this game up and beat it once every couple of years to remind myself of my earlier days as a gamer.
