Originally launched in 1999 by Bent Studio (formerly Eidetic) and 989 Studio, Syphon Filter has six games in its series now. The third-person shooter game got its name from a mysterious biological weapon in the game itself.

Gabe Logan: guerrilla warfare expert, master marksman, and a man on a personal crusade to bring down an international terrorist ring and eliminate a deadly virus. He and his partner Lian Xing must apprehend Erich Rhoemer -- the international terrorist.

Use stealth, reconnaissance, and extreme combat to trace the path of the Syphon Filter virus back to where it all began, and complete your mission by any means necessary. Gameplay includes stealth-action and puzzle solving.

New versions of the game feature enhanced with up-rendering, rewind, quick save, and custom video filters. But fans can expect the same John Woo inspired action with influences from GoldenEye 007, as well, to create a super spy thriller.
