Description
The Outer Worlds is a new single-player sci-fi RPG from Obsidian Entertainment and Private Division. As you explore the furthest reaches of space and encounter a host of factions all vying for power, who you decide to become will determine the fate of everyone in Halcyon. In the corporate equation for the colony, you are the unplanned variable.
Lost in transit while on a colonist ship bound for the furthest edge of the galaxy, you awake decades later than you expected only to find yourself in the midst of a deep conspiracy threatening to destroy the Halcyon colony. As you explore the furthest reaches of space and encounter a host of factions all vying for power, who you decide to become will determine the fate of everyone in Halcyon. I had a blast exploring this quirky, corporate-dystopia RPG. The writing is sharp, the characters are hilarious, and the choices feel meaningful. That said, the worlds felt a bit small, and the combat was just okay. It’s like a lighter, more sarcastic Fallout—fun, but it left me wanting a bit more depth.

An expansive RPG that doesn't take itself seriously but delivers a fun experience.
It's one of those games where the player can do anything. kill the quest-giver in the middle of the game, and no dead-ends still!

Played this game a few years ago, & played it back in December. It's a really great game, & I'll need to complete the campaign.

A unique and amusing retro-future odyssey involving a corporate dystopia and a myriad of fun weapons to tinker with. Players can highly customize their character to their liking and choose their path in what feels like a fusion of Fallout: New Vegas, Mass Effect, Bioshock, and a sprinkle of Borderlands.
