Similar to Witcher 3, Witcher 2 also has a rough opening but if you survive the few hours, the rest will be quite satisfying.
However, if you are coming from Witcher 3, don't expect the prequel to have the same level of quality in campaign and side quests.

A complex RPG with a branching story and engaging combat. I loved the moral choices, especially when they felt like they had a real impact on the world. It’s a bit dated in places, but still a fantastic game.

An absolute classic which continues Geralt's story and perfectly sets up the events of Witcher 3. If you're looking for more Witcher, this is a great place to go - even if it's not quite as deep or rich in terms of the gameworld as Witcher 3!
