Thor: God of Thunder is a third-person action game based on the 2011 movie of the same name, which is in turn based on the Marvel comics series. Set in the world based on Norse mythology, Thor must save the fictional Asgard realm. Because of Loki's treachery, Thor finds himself defending his city Asgard and travelling to Niflheim, Vanaheim and Muspelheim to save Asgard from total destruction. Thor, alone with his legendary hammer, Mjolnir, must fight enemies of an immense scale in melee brawler style while controlling the elemental storm powers of lightning, thunder and wind to vanquish enemies from a distance using long-ranged attacks. There is also a grapple mechanic used for more devastating attacks. The hammer can be powered up to be hurled at enemies as well.
