Updated on July 23, 2024, by Lewis Smyth: While The Hag has never been exceptionally popular among Dead by Daylight players, her unique territorial abilities may appeal to you. This updated guide shows off the latest best builds and add-ons for The Hag in 2024 and beyond.

The Hag: Best Build (2024)

This build makes use of perks from The Artist, The Trickster, and The Plague to create a build that slows down generator progress, building pressure until a lethal endgame collapse.

Corrupt Intervention (The Plague) – At the start of the trial, the three generators furthest from the killer's starting location are blocked for 120 seconds or until the first survivor is downed.
Hex: No One Escapes Death (General Perk) – After the final generator is completed, all survivors suffer from the Exposed status ailment and users gain a four percent Haste effect until the Hex Totem is cleansed.
No Way Out (The Trickster) – At the end of the trial when a survivor interacts with an exit gate, users will receive a noise notification, and the exit gates will be blocked for 12 seconds, plus another 12 seconds for each survivor hooked.
Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance (The Artist) – The Killer starts with four tokens. For each different Survivor hooked on a white Scourge Hook, lose one token and explode the generator with the most progress, causing it to lose 25% of progress.

The Hag: Best Beginner Build (2024)

For players just starting out, or those without access to Dead by Daylight’s DLC, this build makes use of the Hag’s own impressive hex perks like Hex: Ruin to slow down generators and Hex: The Third Seal to blind Survivors.

Hex: The Third Seal (The Hag) – After hitting a Survivor, that Survivor is inflicted with the Blindness status effect until the Hex Totem is cleansed. This effect can be active on all four Survivors at once.
Hex: Ruin (The Hag) – As long as the Hex Totem remains standing, all Survivors not working on progressed generators will immediately begin to regress. This effect is removed once the first Survivor is killed.
Sloppy Butcher (General Perk) – Basic attacks cause the Mangled and Hemorrhage status ailments, slowing down healing by 25% and regressing healing progress when left unfinished.
Hex: No One Escapes Death (General Perk) – After the final generator is completed, all survivors suffer from the Exposed status ailment and users gain a four percent Haste effect until the Hex Totem is cleansed.

The Hag: Best Add-Ons

Despite being a rather weak and unpopular Killer, the Hag’s add-ons offer her well-rounded buffs to her territorial power. This guide segment highlights her strongest add-ons in order of rarity.

Rope Necklace

Starting with the common add-ons, the Rope Necklace slightly increases The Hag’s trap setting speed. This small bonus can help with quickly trapping loops while keeping Survivors pressured.

Dead Fly Mud

The Dead Fly Mud slightly increases The Hag’s teleportation range, giving her a wider field from which she can stray from her web of traps while still endangering those who trigger them.

Pussy Willow Catkins

Teleporting to a Phantasm Trap can be somewhat disorientating, especially for newer Dead by Daylight players. The Pussy Willow Catkins reveals the auras of Survivors who trigger The Hag’s traps for 3 seconds, giving you more information on a Survivor’s movements as they flee from the Phantasm.

Dragonfly Wings

An upgraded version of the Dead Fly Mud, the Dragonfly Wings increase teleportation range by 12.5%. As The Hag can only teleport to traps within 48 meters by default, stacking these add-ons can give you greater map pressure.

Cypress Necklet

Like the Rope Necklace, the Cypress Necklet simply increases trap setting speed by 15%. Since The Hag’s buffs, setting speeds are faster than ever, making traps more lethal and less cumbersome.

Willow Wreath

The Willow Wreath is a superior version of the Pussy Willow Catkins, revealing the auras of those who trigger traps for 5 seconds. Though these add-ons do not stack, they provide vital information on where The Hag ought to swing when she teleports.

Swamp Orchid Necklet

With the Swamp Orchid Necklet, trap setting speeds are buffed by 20%.

Dried Cicada

The Dried Cicada gives The Hag enhanced teleportation range which, when stacked, can cover entire maps.

Cracked Turtle Egg

A valuable chase add-on, the Cracked Turtle Egg increases the duration of Phantasm Traps by 30%, giving you more time to teleport to them. This is useful for zoning Survivors in chase and reaching distant traps while you’re occupied with other Survivors.

Rusty Shackles

Perhaps The Hag’s very best add-on, the Rusty Shackles make Phantasm Traps completely silent, granting her power an incredible stealth dimensionality. With these, The Hag can easily sneak up on Survivors completely unaware they have triggered a trap.

Mint Rag

For Hags who wish to play for chases, spreading their pressure across a map instead of playing for certain generators, the Mint Rag is the way to go. This add-on allows The Hag to teleport to any trap on the map at the cost of an increased cooldown.
