As Dead by Daylight’s least popular Killer – or rather Killers – The Twins are perhaps the most difficult characters to master, punishing players without the precise aim and chasing skills needed to down Survivors. Nevertheless, those few that persevere with Dead by Daylight's more difficult Killers can become a force to be reckoned with, capable of keeping Survivors under immense pressure throughout The Entity’s trials in Dead by Daylight.
This guide will highlight some of the best builds and perks available to The Twins to strengthen the dynamic duo and their capabilities. These builds will include both teachable and non-teachable perks for those without access to the various other Killer perks.
Updated on October 10th, 2023, by Lewis Smyth: The live-service nature of Dead by Daylight gives rise to frequent changes in the game's meta as perks and powers become more or less impactful with each patch. This article update brings builds for The Twins into 2023 and beyond, featuring newly buffed perks that can change the game for Killers looking to slow generator progress and counter some powerful loops.
The Twins: Best Non-Teachable Build
The Twins’ primary power comes from controlling Victor to surprise Survivors, as – without the dreaded Terror Radius – their only clue to his presence is his raspy breaths. Therefore, the best method to keep Survivors pressured is to run perks like Sloppy Butcher to keep them injured, while Coup de Grâce can help quickly close the distance before a Survivor can react.
- Coup de Grâce (The Twins) – For each generator completed, this perk gains two tokens. Use one token to increase the lunge attack distance by 80%.
- Oppression (The Twins) – After damaging a generator, 3 other random generators will start to regress, and Survivors working on them will receive a difficult Skill Check.
- Sloppy Butcher (General Perk) – Basic attacks cause the Mangled and Hemorrhage status ailments, slowing down healing by 25% and regressing healing progress when left unfinished.
- Hex: No One Escapes Death (General Perk) – After the final generator is completed, all survivors suffer from the Exposed status ailment, and users gain a 4% Haste effect until the Hex Totem is cleansed.
The Twins: Best Build
When more experienced Survivors hold Victor hostage, Charlotte’s limited chase capabilities start to show. Perhaps, then, the best build that The Twins can run involves passively slowing the game and enhancing chase against Dead by Daylight's Survivors.
- Coup de Grâce (The Twins) – For each generator completed, this perk gains two tokens. Use one token to increase the lunge attack distance by 80%.
- Corrupt Intervention (The Plague) – At the start of the trial, the 3 generators furthest from the killer's starting location are blocked for 120 seconds or until the first survivor is downed.
- Deadlock (The Cenobite) – After a generator is repaired, the generator with the most progress is blocked for 30 seconds.
- No Way Out (The Trickster) – At the end of the trial, when a survivor interacts with an exit gate, users will receive a noise notification, and the exit gates will be blocked for 12 seconds, plus another 12 seconds for each survivor hooked.
Dead by Daylight is currently available for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
