Dead by Daylight fans have another cosmetic to look forward to, as developer Behaviour Interactive has revealed the Charred skin for one of the game's newest killers, Chucky from the Child's Play franchise. The outfit is an optional add-on for the Chucky DLC chapter and is currently available in the Dead by Daylight cosmetic shop for purchase with the in-game premium currency Auric Cells.
Since it was initially released, Dead by Daylight has seen many collaborations with popular horror IPs, the first of which was the addition of Michael Myers from the Halloween franchise. The game later went on to add more iconic slasher characters like the fan-favorite Ghost Face, Freddy Krueger, and others, with the latest being the infamous killer doll Chucky.
Now, Chucky in Dead by Daylight is getting another alternate look for players to add to their collection with the new Charred outfit, which is now available in-game following an announcement on the game's official website. The outfit takes the default Chucky look and makes the creepy doll appear heavily burned with parts of his face melting away, reminiscent of a scene from the Chucky television series.

Chucky's overall appearance and play style in Dead by Daylight stays largely true to the franchise from which he hails, with series veteran Brad Dourif even returning to voice the character for the game. In addition, the game also features some optional cosmetic items that reference the Chucky franchise for an additional price, including an outfit based on his wife, Tiffany Valentine.
Collaborations like this are a big part of the reason Dead by Daylight has remained so popular among both horror fans and those who enjoy competitive games, as they give fans a chance to play some of their favorite characters from popular culture. However, the title also features a variety of unique original characters to expand upon its lore, which is explored more deeply in the new story-based game The Casting of Frank Stone.
The new Chucky outfit is available now and will remain in the store for fans to expand their collection of Dead by Daylight cosmetics for the foreseeable future. Some players have mentioned that they hope to see more Chucky cosmetics down the line, specifically outfits based on his offspring from the Chucky movies, Glen and Glenda. For now, there are no known plans for any more additions to the Chucky DLC.
