Sami Scigouski is a recent graduate from Miami University of Oxford with a BS in Games + Simulations. Her experience as both a creator of games and consumer of them gave her an appreciation for all things gaming and furthered her interest into the nitty gritty details within them. Her passion for games and their creation also awarded her “Excellence in Games + Simulation” for her game work done during university. Although she has played a wealth of various games, smaller indie titles will always be some of her favorites as they tend to offer the most heartfelt stories and interesting game mechanics. When not creating or playing games, Sami is often out competing nationally at horse shows with her horse Ace or playing frisbee with her corgi Winslow.

Dead by Daylight recently announced another collaboration with a wildly popular horror franchise: Five Nights at Freddy's. Known for collaborating with some of the most iconic horror franchises in history, it is no surprise that Dead by Daylight will be adding another title to that list.

Created by Behaviour Interactive, Dead by Daylight is an asymmetrical multiplayer horror game. One player takes on the role of the killer while four other players take on the role of survivors, with certain events and game modes occasionally altering this like the current 2v8 mode that's playable now. Killers attempt to sacrifice survivors, while survivors try to escape the killer by fixing generators to power the exit gates. Both sides have a wide variety of playable characters to select from, including licensed characters from other horror franchises such as Resident Evil.

Dead by Daylight is no stranger when it comes to icons in horror, and its latest announcement proves that. Originally posted on Dead by Daylight's official Twitter account, the game will be collaborating with the hit horror franchise Five Nights at Freddy's. Although many details of the actual collaboration are still being kept secret, it was announced that the collab will be coming to the game in the summer of 2025. Players have long been awaiting the crossover between these two franchises, as it has been highly requested by fans for a while now.

Upcoming Collab Between Dead by Daylight and Five Nights at Freddy's Officially Announced

As of this week, the original Five Nights at Freddy's game is celebrating its 10th anniversary. In honor of 10 years, Scott Cawthon has made several announcements for the franchise and teased that a new collaboration would be happening between Five Nights at Freddy's and another popular property. Although many fans were suspecting a Fortnite collab, it is now officially known that the collab will be taking place with Dead by Daylight. Alongside this collaboration, Five Nights at Freddy's is also working with Funko to bring Freddy Fazbear to life in the adventure game Funko Fusion.

The announcement of the collab between Dead by Daylight and Five Nights at Freddy's may only be a confirmation that it is happening, but that is more than enough to get players excited about the upcoming content. While it is almost certain that players will see a killer from the Five Nights at Freddy's universe, there is no guarantee that the crossover will end there. There are plenty of characters and icons throughout the world of Five Nights at Freddy's that would work wonderfully within the universe of Dead by Daylight and players can expect to hear more about the upcoming collab in the near future.
