Dead by Daylight features a wide range of survivors for players to choose from as they face off against another player assuming the role of the killer. Survivors must work together to complete specific objectives to avoid being murdered, such as repairing generators, opening the exit gate, and more—all while keeping the killer at bay. As a live service game, Dead by Daylight steadily releases new updates packed with content and events, featuring popular killers and survivors from other media as well as original characters. Now, developer Behaviour Interactive has introduced a new survivor joining the roster.
Dead by Daylight Releases New Update for April 2025
Dead by Daylight releases a third update for April 2025, making some balancing changes to The Ghoul and Blood Moon Event fixes.
Dead by Daylight’s new survivor, Orela Rose, is equipped with a range of healing perks that make her extremely useful to the team. Her three character-specific perks include “Do No Harm,” which grants her increased healing speed when healing another Dead by Daylight survivor and gives her more progress on Great Skill Checks while doing so. “Duty of Care” allows her to take a Protection Hit while healthy, acting as a bodyguard for another survivor and granting them a temporary Haste boost (they move faster for a few seconds). Finally, “Rapid Response” lets her quickly leap out of a Locker if she is not exhausted, revealing the Killer’s aura.
New Dead by Daylight Survivor Orela Rose Features Medic Perks
Like other survivors in Dead by Daylight lore, Orela Rose has her own backstory. She lost her best friend in an accident, leading her to vow to always protect others. Alongside the release of the new survivor, Dead by Daylight has partnered with Montreal’s CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation, a charity supporting pediatric care at Sainte-Justine Hospital. All earnings from the two Orela Paramedic skins sold in-game from May 6 to May 27 will be donated. The campaign will also include a community-centric activity yet to be announced—those who wish to make direct donations to Grow Beyond can do so through the foundation’s website.
The new chapter also brings a revamped version of The Archives, now called The Rift—instead of selecting individual challenges before each match, all Quests are now active simultaneously. The update also brings new Dead by Daylight cosmetics for survivors and killers, including Orela Rose, The Ghost Face, The Legion, Yun-Jin, Gabriel, and more, all of which will start arriving in the game from May 6 to May 27.
