Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster brings zombie mayhem back to the Willamette Parkview Mall. This remaster leaves many of the original's oddities untouched while making the game a smoother experience for newcomers. Frank West can discover all sorts of secrets hidden in the mall. Some of these secrets are fun easter eggs, while others are weapons and items that can make surviving much easier.
Guns aren't the best way to take out the massive hordes of zombies infesting the mall. However, they do come in handy when fighting the deranged Psychopath bosses that can be found while exploring and hunting down cases. The Submachine Gun is a powerful firearm resembling an Uzi that has automatic fire. It can shoot 100 times before Frank has to discard it. It's a rare weapon that can only be found in some hard-to-reach places. Thankfully, there is one hidden in a very convenient location. Early Submachine Gun Location
After the opening segments of the game, Frank becomes acquainted with Jessie and Brad. Brad goes off to deal with a terrorist who is a potential suspect in the zombie outbreak. You can find the Submachine Gun this early before the first fight with Carlito. Leave the security room and enter the mall via the warehouse.
This area is called Paradise Plaza and you will be visiting regularly as you make trips back and forth to the Security Room. Frank will have to escort survivors through this area and advance the plot by continuing cases in the Security Room. There is a footwear store called Shoekin's to the immediate left as you exit the warehouse.
The Submachine Gun is located on the awning directly above the store. Run to the right past the camera, jewelry, and children's clothing store. Walk halfway up the stairwell to the second floor. Turn right at the halfway point and jump over the rail to climb onto the first awning. Stick close to the wall and walk past the cardboard box. Orange juice will consistently spawn next to this box if you need healing. Continue back across Paradise Plaza towards Shoekin's. Frank will not fall off the narrow ledges. The Submachine Gun will be lying on its side above the store. It will respawn, so grab one whenever you're in the area.
