The tunnels under the mall are a convenient way to zip around from place to place and get where you need to go on time. You must find the Maintenance Tunnel Key to effectively use these tunnels. Emergency Exits in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster
While exploring each section of the mall, you may come across Emergency Exit doors. These doors will be marked on the map. Attempt to use one, and you will receive a message that you must find the Maintenance Tunnel Key to use them.
Where to Find the Maintenance Tunnel Key
Thankfully, you can still access the Maintenance Tunnel and basement floor if you know where to look. Enter the outdoor Leisure Park area.
Walk over to the western side of the park and find the path to the Public Parking lot. The in-game map displays a red arrow indicating the path. Do your best to avoid the many zombies as this area can be heavily populated. Reach the parking lot to find a motorcycle and the red convertible. You can get in these vehicles by pressing the Circle/B button. Drive your vehicle of choice over to the tunnel entrance on the right side of the parking lot.
Otis will call Frank the first time you visit the area. He'll tell Frank he accidentally left a spare Maintenance Key in the warehouse. The Underground Warehouse is towards the center of this basement area. Watch out for zombies pushing gas tanks as hitting them will heavily damage your vehicle. Take a right from the entrance, then a left at the intersection. Take one more right and park in the small area. Enter the door to the Underground Warehouse. The Maintenance Tunnel Key is hidden towards the back on the right side of the warehouse. Pick it up from under the ladder.
