Aside from equipment, players must also ensure they have enough items for survivability, such as Blood Bags, which restore Sam’s Blood Level back to full. Here is how players can carry more Blood Bags without them taking up a lot of cargo space in Death Stranding 2.
How To Unlock Utility Pouch in Death Stranding 2
After completing Order 16, you will connect the Northern Environmental Observatory to the Chiral Network. Your next step should be to increase the connection level with this facility to Level 3. An easy way to increase the connection level is by completing any available Standard or Sub-Orders that the facility offers. You can also bring back any lost cargo you find during your deliveries for this specific facility. To locate lost cargo, simply use the Odradek arm to scan the area—the cargo will be highlighted for a few seconds, allowing you to pinpoint its location and pick it up.
Once you reach Level 3, you will unlock the Utility Pouch. To equip the Utility Pouch, check your Backpack Customisation and open the Components tab. This is where you can fabricate the pouch using the following materials:
- 30 Resins
- 20 Metals
Why Should You Equip the Utility Pouch in Death Stranding 2?
As carrying multiple Blood Bags is essential for combat scenarios, the Utility Pouch helps manage them so they aren't a burden on Sam. Without the pouch, Sam has to carry the bags as cargo boxes on his back. While each bag doesn't weigh much, having several can make it harder to balance your cargo, especially when combined with delivery items. The Utility Pouch solves this by letting you carry eight Blood Bags.
One of the best things about the pouch is that it can also hold eight High-Capacity Blood Bags, which unlock after reaching connection level 3 with The Motherhood. With so many Blood Bags available, you'll rarely need to fabricate new ones or deal with cargo management.
It is important to note that one Utility Pouch is more than enough, giving you ample space to add other components to your backpack, like the Chiral Antigravity Device, which increases carrying capacity, or the Spare Ammo Container for extra ammunition.
