When is Death Stranding 2's Point of No Return?

While there is no traditional point of no return in Death Stranding 2, there are still some things that become irreversible in its final chapters. These elements will not be discussed to avoid spoilers, but it's worth mentioning the gameplay elements that are affected by this moment. Players will be unable to take on some orders, deliver cargo, and use fast travel, and players will not be able to travel to Mexico without locking themselves into the advancement of the story.

If players want to avoid the point of no return, then they should not accept Main Order 43. If players accept Main Order 43, they will be locked out of fast travel, and they will not be able to re-enable it until after the main story, which is around 5+ hours of gameplay and continuous missions. After accepting Main Order 43, the game will progress on a more linear path, locking players out of side content to better fit the urgency of the narrative.
