If you picked up Death Stranding 2: On the Beach last week, you might want to check out this limited-edition DualSense controller based on the new Kojima Productions title. Announced back on May 8, the Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Limited Edition DualSense Wireless Controller is now available from PlayStation Direct for $85.
Like previous DualSense limited edition controllers, it's exclusive to PlayStation Direct and is available in limited quantities. If you missed out on the pre-orders, this is the best time to grab one, as it may not be restocked once it sells out. At $85, it costs the same as other special-edition DualSense controllers like the The Last of Us edition.

A new limited edition PS5 DualSense controller inspired by the upcoming title Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will go on sale soon.
Death Stranding 2: On The Beach Limited Edition DualSense Controller
Sony worked with Kojima Productions to design the controller, so you'll find special decals taken directly from the sequel. The biggest highlight is the vibrant orange Drawbridge logo and motto on the touch pad, which is a direct reference to the new delivery company in Death Stranding 2.
There are more orange accents on the grips and a black Death Stranding 2 logo on the back, but that's about it. The rest of the controller looks more or less the same as the Midnight Black DualSense, which has left some fans disappointed with the more plain look. It still looks slick, though it might struggle to win design awards when placed alongside more elaborate special editions like the Astro Bot controller or even the Death Stranding PS4 one.

Aside from the Death Stranding 2 paint job, you're getting the same amazing PS5 DualSense controller with immersive haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. It works with PCs and mobile devices as well through Bluetooth, and you might even enjoy the excellent haptics on select PC games. However, there are no Hall effect or TMR sensing joysticks here, meaning it's still prone to getting stick drift.

Sony has released plenty of incredible limited-edition DualSense controllers in the past, with the Astro Bot edition getting my vote as the best-looking PS5 controller. There's also the Helldivers 2 version, which shares the same stealthy black look as the Death Stranding 2 model. The only problem is that most of these controllers are nearly impossible to find in stock.
If you're not into the Death Stranding 2-themed design or are looking for more limited-edition DualSense controllers to add to your collection, the Fortnite Limited Edition is your only option right now. Unlike the minimalist Death Stranding 2 controller, this one is overloaded with graffiti and vibrant colors, and it's currently available for $85 from PS Direct.
