Ever since it's release back in November of last year, Death Stranding  has impacted the gaming community on a grand scale. About a month before the PS4 release, it was announced that 505 Games would help to port Death Stranding to PC and would release in mid-2020. Now with the release date of the PC port just one month away, 505 Games and Kojima Productions have revealed the specs required to play Death Stranding  on PC.

When Death Stranding  was first released on PS4, the game was considered by many to be a technical achievement. With impressive graphics, an ominous atmosphere, and excellent music choice, Death Stranding  captivated many in the gaming community. Though, what impressed most people was how large the scope of the game's mechanics really was. Once players knew what they were doing, they could accomplish some excellent feats.

Thus, once it was announced that there would be a PC version of the game, many people in the gaming community got understandably excited. With the PC version of the game releasing in mid-July, 505 Games and Kojima Productions have unveiled the minimum PC specifications, for players who are willing to play the game at 720p and have it run at 30 frames per second.

  • OS: Windows 10
  • CPU: Intel® Core i5-3470 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 1050 3 GB or AMD Radeon RX 560 4 GB
  • DirectX 12
  • HDD: 80GB
  • Sound cards: DirectX compatible

With these minimum specifications, the game will run slightly below the PS4 version in terms of quality. For most PC users, these specifications aren't too demanding in terms of a PC port of Death Stranding. However, for those who want the game to run at 1080p, 60 frames per second, those specs are also listed.

  • OS: Windows 10
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600
  • RAM: 8GB
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB or AMD Radeon RX 590
  • DirectX 12
  • HDD: 80GB

Ultimately, these specifications will leave the PC version fairly accessible to the majority of PC users. Either way, it still gives plenty of new people the opportunity to play Death Stranding  for the first time. However, the game is rather dense and has a fairly steep learning curve, which is why it would behoove the people purchasing the PC version to look up some tips for Death Stranding  beginners.

There is also a surprising amount of new content that will be included in the PC version of the game. There are already numerous in-game screenshots that feature Half-Life  content in Death Stranding. It's still somewhat unclear as to whether this Half-Life  content will impact gameplay or if it's purely cosmetic. Either way, PC users have a lot to look forward to.

Death Stranding  is available now for PS4 and the PC port will release on July 14th, 2020.
