The QCQ171 is a rapid-fire SMG that can be refitted for close or medium-range, making it suitable for the most common engagement distances in Delta Force. However, its strong and erratic recoil makes it a difficult gun to wield, especially when players hold the trigger for too long.

Thankfully, the game's extensive gun customization system can help with the QCQ171's drawbacks and make it more comparable to the best SMGs in Delta Force. Here's one build that aims to tone down the weapon's most glaring weaknesses while making it more consistent over longer ranges.

Delta Force QCQ171 Low Recoil Build

This build is intended for engagements of up to 25 meters, a distance that's already beyond the effective range of most SMGs. It trades some of the QCQ171's firepower for more accurate shot groupings per burst while keeping recoil to a minimum. The build will also make the weapon feel a little sluggish in terms of ADS speed and strafing speed while aiming, but more on that later. For now, here's the list of attachments you need:

With this setup, you can expect the QCQ171 to take down 100HP targets in 0.25 seconds from 25 meters away. In more practical terms, this translates to a 4-shot kill to the chest. The only other SMG in the game that can out-range this is the SMG-45, which can 4HK enemies from 27 meters away.

Take note that even with this build, the QCQ171's zigzag recoil is still going to be fairly noticeable. However, the weapon should now be accurate enough to make hitting those first four shots much easier. If you're aiming for stationary targets, make that first burst count.

Important - Handling and ADS Speed

The build above reduces the QCQ171's Handling to only 35, making it feel more like one of the many assault rifles in Delta Force. To circumvent this issue, we strongly recommend using a laser sight. With one equipped, you'll be able to enter a point shooting stance where your character aims with the laser instead of the sights — this style of aiming drastically cuts down your ADS speed. The default button for switching optics/zoom level is N, though you can rebind this at any time in the Options menu.

Calibrate the weapon for Extra Control and Firing Stability.

Alternate Attachments

If you want better recoil control, try using the following attachments in lieu of the ones above:

  • Foregrip: Secret Order Bevel Foregrip
  • Stock: Cardinal Stable Stock
  • Muzzle: Sandstorm Vertical Compensator

This setup reduces its optimal TTK range from 25 to 21 meters. However, it will remain accurate and deadly up to 33 meters with an optimal TTK value of 0.33s. As long as you fire in controlled bursts, this QCQ171 build can outperform even the AKS-74 in terms of kill time at the same range.
