Back in December 2024, the Delta Force IP was revived by Team Jade, a developer owned by TiMi Studio Group, through a namesake free-to-play FPS entering open beta on Steam. The online game was eventually released on PC in January 2025 and on consoles in August. In spite of earning divisive reviews, Delta Force has been popular among gamers since the beginning and has consistently attracted over 100,000 concurrent players on Valve's storefront alone. Most recently, Team Jade has been showing signs of further boosting engagement with a new collaboration.

While Metal Gear Solid is healthier than it used to be, there's a worrying lack of detail on something fans have been expecting for a while.

Delta Force Possibly Teases a Team-Up with Metal Gear

In a new social media post, Delta Force devs shared a teaser of an upcoming collaboration, almost all of which remains a mystery at the moment. Interestingly, the image depicts the point-of-view of a person hiding inside a cardboard box, while an armed person takes a peek inside. Moreover, the image text cryptically says, "Huh, just a box?" And confirms something new coming to Delta Force "soon." Due to the cardboard box being popular in gaming culture as a sneaking prop used by Metal Gear series protagonists, it quickly caught the attention of fans of Konami's espionage franchise. In the comments, several of them started sharing their interest in seeing characters such as Big Boss and Solid Snake in the competitive shooter.

Moreover, Metal Gear Network, a popular Metal Gear fan account on Twitter, shared a leaked image of the new Delta Force collaboration, with Naked Snake featured prominently in the background. Additionally, there is another character shown in the image, who is sporting a headgear that looks identical to the night-vision goggles worn by Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes' Big Boss. Metal Gear Network also suggested that the upcoming Delta Force team-up could be related to Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, the newly released remake of the 2004 original.

Even though there are strong signs that Delta Force's latest partnership may involve Metal Gear, little to no official information from Team Jade means all possibilities are open right now. However, given that Delta Force's console launch and Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater's arrival are both events that took place recently in August, it may make more sense than not for these two action releases to boost each other's early momentum through a collaboration.
