Both multiplayer modes in Delta Force can get very chaotic, but despite that, the game features a Ranked mode where players can prove themselves. However, this system is a little different from what one might expect, and it can be confusing for those who've come from other games with true competitive modes.
If you want to climb to the top of the leaderboards in either multiplayer mode in Delta Force, then you should definitely keep that Ranked box in the main menu ticked on. Before you do that, though, here are a few things you should know about how this system works.
Delta Force: How to Unlock Sineva
Terrorize your enemies in close quarters with Sineva, the shield-wielding tactical specialist in Delta Force.
How Does Ranked Work in Delta Force?
To be clear, Ranked mode in Delta Force does not have a separate queue. You'll still be paired with players who are within your skill level (as judged by the game's SBMM system), which means match quality will be more or less the same. However, with Ranked mode turned on, you'll earn Merit Points at the end of every match you play.
The better your performance, the more Merit Points you earn. Get enough of these points, and you'll eventually rank up. The minimum Merit Points required for each major rank are as follows:
- Private III: 0
- Corporal III: 450
- Sergeant IV: 900
- Lieutenant IV: 1700
- Colonel V: 2500
- General V: 3750
- Marshal: 5000
In Operations mode, you earn points by defeating enemies (NPCs and players) and extracting with valuable loot. Meanwhile, you earn Merit Points in Ranked Warfare based on your Score Per Minute (SPM). You gain Score points in-match by doing just about anything helpful — eliminating enemies, resupplying and reviving teammates, building defenses, and so on.
You don't have to win your games to earn Merit Points. However, the higher your rank, the more demanding the game's scoring system will become. If you fail to meet expectations, you may start losing points.
Fastest Way to Rank Up in Delta Force
Ranking up in Warfare is going to be much easier compared to Operations. In the latter mode, you need to do your best to survive your runs while carrying as much valuable loot as possible. Meanwhile, in Warfare, all you need to do to get a high SPM at the end of the match is to play Support and heal/resupply/revive everyone. You can easily make it to the top of the scoreboard without killing anyone as a Support, but if you want to be aggressive, a weapon like the QCQ171 can be a great pick.
Either way, make sure to use the 2x Merit Cards that you get from events and the Battle Pass. To use them, click on the Collections button at the bottom of the main menu screen, and look for the Merit Cards there.
Delta Force Ranked Rewards
The rewards you get in Ranked mode are mostly cosmetic. There's a number of skins to earn after reaching each new rank, and they also come with Weapon XP Tokens too. If you manage to reach the highest rank of the season, you'll get a special plate for your player card that shows up on loading screens and on enemy death screens.
You can check the current season's ranked rewards by entering the Ranked mode screen in the main menu and clicking on the Rewards button on the right side.
