All Broken Keys Locations in Deltarune

Broken Key A

Seam Deltarune

The first piece, Broken Key A, is the easiest one to get. You can get it by visiting the shopkeeper, Seam, in the Field area. Simply start a conversation with him and exhaust all available dialogue options. Once your chat ends, Seam will eventually give you this key fragment.

Broken Key B

The second one, Broken Key B, is hidden somewhere in the lower-right section of the Forest map. When you go there, keep an eye out for a hidden path that splits towards the bottom-right part of the screen. Taking this hidden route will take you straight to the chest where the second key fragment is hiding.

Broken Key C

Deltarune Chapter 1 Card Puzzle

The final piece, Broken Key C, is linked to a card puzzle in Deltarune. Head north from the chess field, just before you reach the Card Castle. There, you'll find a puzzle that requires a certain sequence. The right combination to open up the chest with Broken Key C is: Diamond, Heart, Club, Spade. Once you enter these symbols in the correct sequence, you'll get rewarded with the final key.

How to Fix the Key and Open the Prison Cell in Deltarune

After you've successfully found all three Broken Keys, your next step is to reforge them into a single, functional key. To do this, you need to make your way to the Bake Sale area in the Forest.

From the Bake Sale, take the path leading north. This will lead you to Malius the Smith. Talk to Malius, and he will recognize the broken pieces you own. He will then offer to repair them for you, combining them into a usable key.

With the newly repaired key, go to the Card Castle. Then, enter the elevator and select the floor marked with "??????." This will take you to the floor where Jevil's prison cell is. Approach the cell door with the key in hand to open the prison cell.

Opening the cell will let you engage in the secret boss battle against Jevil in Deltarune. Make sure to prepare for this challenging fight with healing items and appropriate equipment.
