How To Find All The Egg Rooms In Deltarune

Currently, there are four Eggs that you can collect in Deltarune, one for every chapter. Each egg is located in a secret location, which can only be accessed after solving a complex series of puzzles, sometimes accompanied by various actions or interactions as well. Each of those four locations that features a hidden Egg in Deltarune is listed below.

Chapter 1 Egg Room Location in Deltarune

Chapter 1 Egg in Deltarune

To find the Egg Room in Chapter 1, you need to first reach the area with the giant birds and the bell tower, a unique area that becomes accessible in the latter half of the Dark World segment. The trick here is in the room connected to the room with the Starwalker.

You cannot access this room if you've cleared the final boss in Chapter 1, so try to get it before progressing through the Chapter.

Chapter 1 egg room in Deltarune

You need to walk back and forth between the room with the bell and the one housing the Starwalker. You need to repeat this action over and over again (and it can take 20 or more attempts), as there is only a roughly 2 percent chance that the Egg room will spawn. Eventually, you'll be warped into a hidden room with a red tree and a strange man behind it.

You need to go behind the tree and interact with the NPC. Eventually, you'll get a choice saying "He offered you something," with options Yes and No. Choose Yes to receive the Egg, and No to reject the Egg.

After you pick up the Egg, you need to return to the three rooms you came through, where the Darkners will have respawned, so make sure you're well-prepared.

Chapter 2 Egg Room Location in Deltarune

Chapter 2 Egg Location in Deltarune

The Chapter 2 Egg Room is located in the Alleyway area right after the traffic lights minigame. Once you clear the minigame and enter the Alleyway, there will be a scene where Kris gets run over by Toby Fox in the alleyway.

Then a 'Game Over' screen will pop up, which will also get run over shortly after. Then you’ll find yourself standing near a dumpster and some graffiti referencing a tree. This is your cue.

Similar to the Chapter 1 Egg, the Egg Room in Chapter 2 also has a 2 percent chance of appearing. So, if you're lucky, you can get it in 50 tries, otherwise it could take quite a long time.

Begin walking back and forth between the alley and the main city area. After several transitions, the room appears randomly. You’ll enter a secret space that looks distinctly off. Here, you’ll find the mysterious figure once again hiding behind a tree.

Walk into the shadows behind the tree to trigger a conversation with him. When you start the dialogue, eventually you will see a choice: "He might be happy to see you," with the choices Yes and No. If you choose Yes, you will receive the Egg, while selecting No won't give you anything.

Chapter 3 Egg Room Location in Deltarune

Secret Door in Deltarune

Unlike the previous Eggs, the process to reach the Egg Room in Chapter 3 is the most elaborate of them all. First, progress to the TV World. Solve the TV quizzes to unlock a secret door, which leads to a block-throwing minigame across a river. Use Susie to toss the block through the bushes and reach the other side.

Once that’s complete, enter the Green Room and make your way to a strange NPC who accuses you of cheating. Select the dialogue choices “Cheater” and “Nowhere” when prompted. This will transport you to Nowhere, a follow-up to the earlier river puzzle. Cross the newly completed bridge and press the button to proceed.

Talking to screen NPC in Deltarune

From there, find the NPC in front of the big screen and continue talking to him repeatedly. Eventually, a wardrobe will appear. Open it to receive a Trip Ticket. Bring the Trip Ticket to the warp door that leads to Goulden Sam and inspect the dumpster with the lid closed to find a hidden Ribbick.

Players who have already claimed the Shadow Mantle cannot earn the Trip Ticket in this way, as the screens will be turned off. Speaking with Bibliox near the turned-off screens will reveal that the ticket is now under the ball machine, which can be found beyond the B-rank prize door that is accessed via the TV Time Green Room. After reaching that room, players should insert 1,225 points into the machine that is next to the ball machine and then enter the ball machine. Players should then head down and to the right in the red maze, interact with the small ball machine that they find, and interact with the sparkle on the ground in the B-rank room to claim the Trip Ticket.

Final Tree For Egg in Deltarune

During the battle, go to the ACT menu and press the left arrow key instead of selecting an action. This will transport you to the Forgotten Isle. There, walk behind the tree and speak with a cloaked figure. You must answer the following dialogue prompts correctly:

Chapter 4 Egg Room Location in Deltarune

Chapter 4 Egg Room Location in Deltarune

The final known Egg Room resides in Chapter 4, located within the second sanctuary’s long hallway filled with stained-glass windows. The area includes various narrations from strange beings and ends in a moss shrine.

Among the many windows, you need to carefully pick out a window near the end of the hallway with a round, egg-like shape at the top. It differs subtly from the others, which resemble inverted egg shapes.

Chapter 4 Egg Location in Deltarune

Walk into this specific window. As with previous chapters, repeatedly entering and exiting this room has a chance of taking you to the Egg Room. It transports you into a hidden room that resembles a hospital or office lobby.

At the end of the lobby, there are three doors, with the middle one having a tree drawn on it. The middle door opens into a dark room where you must wander around and continue interacting with various dialogues that appear.

You need to position yourself near the center of the dark room, where you'll receive the dialogue: "Well, there is a man here. He seems to be pointing at something and nodding." Near this area towards the door, you will get the prompts: "Well, there is a Canvas here," followed by "Will you draw?"

Selecting Yes to the above prompt will start a series of dialogues describing Kris' drawing, finally ending with the lines "An Egg was picked up from a nearby easel," after which you can find the fourth Egg in your inventory.

If done before obtaining the Shadow Mantle, the process works without issue. Once the Mantle is acquired, however, the Egg room becomes inaccessible.

How To Use Eggs In Deltarune

Classroom Egg Collection in Deltarune

The Eggs in Deltarune are sort of enigmatic. They have no combat purpose, cannot be equipped or consumed, and some vanish at the start of the next chapter. Still, they serve as collectibles and sometimes give rise to interesting interactions, such as the ones mentioned below.

In Chapter 1, placing the Egg in Asgore’s refrigerator results in Kris silently storing it inside. Upon rechecking the fridge, the description reads: “There are two Eggs inside the fridge.” If the Egg is dropped instead, only one Egg appears inside.

In Chapter 2, the Egg can be placed in the basket of eggs in Sans’ shop. When this happens, Susie jokes about Kris “reverse-stealing” the Egg. If you inspect the bell on the top-right rack afterwards, the Egg vanishes from the inventory, but the pile will now show “more eggs than usual.”

In Chapter 3, you can place your Egg on a desk in Berdley’s classroom. In other chapters, the Egg remains in your inventory as a conversation piece. While speculated by fans to be a part of a greater secret in the final chapters of Deltarune, as of now, the Egg's true purpose remains unclear.
